Founded
in 1988, I.V. S. quickly became a leader in industrial and commercial
asset placement, re-distribution and valuation. IVS’s experience
and capabilities in providing asset purchase, asset placement and asset
disposition services, has resulted in indentifying and implementing asset
recovery solutions to major corporate managers, small business owners,
attorneys, bankers, and in the government sector, services to Trustees
in Receivership, United States Bankruptcy Courts, FDIC, Resolution Trust
Corporation and numerous other governmental agencies, including the World
Bank. I.V.S. has provided asset placement and investment recovery services
to entire manufacturing plants, as well as surplus machinery and equipment
inventories no longer required to continuing operations.
Under the daily direction of its president and with the expertise of personnel with extensive technical and marketing services, I.V.S. is capable of creating quick and maximum cash for its clients. We establish accurate market venues, identifying all potential buyers within all Standard Industrial Classifications of the business to whom we are providing our services. These efforts result in a timely, well planned and prepared execution of direct and orderly liquidation of assets. Personally, Jim began his life long career calling in production manufacturing management at American Optical Corporation, moving on to machinery and equipment valuation, purchase and resale in partnership with Barnett Carter Company, Providence RI, eventually acquiring the Carter Company in 1975. Further expansion of diversity and national presence occurred upon founding The American Auctioneer and Appraisal Company, Inc., as President and CFO. Jim also held an ownership position, and Managing Director with the Industrial Division of Samuel T. Freeman and Company, located in Philadelphia PA. Subsequently he established Investment Valuation Services, Inc. and its subsidiary, IVS Liquidators.
IVS buys complete manufacturing plants and surplus machinery and equipment, including selective real estate. IVS contracts with businesses that are closing operating divisions and who utilize its services for private placements in the entirety or by way of item by item primary and secondary market Public Auction. We do not undercharge for the value we deliver to our clients, however, we also do not overcharge for the same delivered value.
